Costs and timing
- Costs are usually based on word count (unless the material contains a significant number of specialised characters, mathematics for example, in which case a different cost structure will be quoted);
- 300-1000 words, AU$40;
- Over 1000 words, AU$40/1000 words (note, 1000-1499 = 1000 words; 1500-2000 = 2000 words, etc.)
- Timing: In general, all work of less than 5,000 words will have a one-week turn-around; for larger works, the turn-around time will be advised with the quotation;
- Work of up to 2000 words might be able to be completed within 24 hours if requested, in which case a special price will be quoted.
Who uses the service?
- Business-owners who recognize that advertising and marketing and internally-generated reports can have a negative impact if they contain silly expression errors;
- Schools whose expression in newsletters or student reports becomes the basis of widespread judgment about the quality of the school (separate rates of charge and special turn-around times apply to school reports).
- Students who need specialised advice on the finer points of grammar and punctuation for essay drafts;
- Students whose primary language is not English and who need assistance with Australian vernacular;
- Authors who want a professional level of expression to send to prospective publishers;
